Debate Team Tryouts!
The Young Democrats apparently don’t want to leave anything to chance:
‘The Young Dems and College Republicans will be hosting our traditional YD/CR Debate on Monday, October 19.
Young Dems will be having tryouts for our team on Thursday, October 8 from 5-7pm. If interested in trying out, email Charlie Sellew with times you’d be available.”
I’m surprised they didn’t add the addendum: “Bring prepared texts to feed into the teleprompter.” You know, take a leaf out of President Obama’s book.
Unfortunately for the YDs, no amount of practice can shroud the fact that President Obama’s stimulus package has not actually done anything (besides burying later generations with massive debts), his proposals for health care reform will do more harm than good, his “public option” (the socialized medicine feint) will not pass, and he cannot rely upon his formerly artful chicanery to conceal the fact that he was completely unprepared to take high office. In under a year, he has made the US less safe and the laughingstock of the world.
No amount of sophistic debate can deny these facts. But, in the spirit of comraderie, I wish them best of luck.
