According to the latest report obtained by CRDaily.com, Student Body Treasurer Jennings Carpenter has removed the $1,500 request for the Board of Elections.
This decision was made in conjunction with BOE Chairman Peter Gillooly according to sources familiar with the situation. CAA will be left to resolve the situation on their own. According to Courtney Brown of the CAA, they received the news October 9th and are unsure of how to move forward as the precedent was that the BOE funded the Homecoming Elections.
This also leaves open the question of how Student Congress elections will be funded for there are vacancies to be filled in the upcoming election.
Way to bury my post, jerk. Oh, and is it wrong if I am enjoying this BOE situation? heheehehe
Also, just FYI, I submitted a "complaint" against the SBP and the BOE to the Student Supreme Court. It's now in process and I'm waiting on the response from the defendants. I submitted the complaint because of the BOE's failure to hold a special election in a timely manner to fill the empty seat in my district.
